Your Room 02:35
Your mother used to sit upon the chair In the corner of your room The pattern flows from red to white and grey The reflection of her mood And funny how so many years pass by Stuck in your room And watch how the clouds float on by From the window of your room From the day time, the night time Are you the good guy, the bad? Are you the good guy or the bad guy? Or are we just simply the same?
2.
Stubborn Man 03:31
How can you just walk away without saying a word or not looking back my way? And go on for days without mention of if you're leaving, gonna stay? I have grown enough to put it all on the line. I have put it all on the line. You're just a stubborn man who won't make up his mind. I would walk the state line just to see your face and act like you were mine. Just to be in your arms and to hold you like time was never lost. I have grown enough to put it all on the line. I have put it all on the line. You're just a stubborn man who won't make up his mind.
3.
There's a radio inside the wall In only turns on when I'm in bed And through the stitch board static A million voices running through my head I must have been chasing the devils tail I must have been running with all my might I must have thought that I was already there I must have thought that I had the right To do the things I've done. We both know that there's no turning back We both know I can't put up a fight If I keep chasing the devils tail I might as well be running for the rest of my life And to think that I was finally there And to think that I had the right To do the things I've done, to you.
4.
Was early in the morning The sun was in our eyes We we feeling kind of dizzy Not enough sleep last night We'll write it in a story Sing it in a song Then through it out the window And try our best our best to sing along Then paint it in a picture We'll burn it in your mind Forget it ever happened Until happens next time We'll change for the better We'll do everything right. Oh there's still a million pieces To pick up one by one oh every single night. All I know is that I know nothing at all. I don't believe a thing. All I know is that I know nothing at all. I don't believe a thing. Until I gotta stop, take a deep breath, hold it all inside, try to count to ten. Was early in the morning The sun was in our eyes We were feeling kind of dizzy Not enough sleep last night.
5.
You and I 03:39
Don't act like you don't know me You know me well It's not a chance of memory Just time, between You and I And don't be afraid We're still here And don't loose touch When it's just us You and I And I know that I can't keep holding on And I know that, I know You and I

about

The third solo release "Hotel Colfax" from Minneapolis based artist Stacy K maintains hints of the experimental, quirky movements of her well received previous release, but also engages to the embrace of warm fuzzed out rock and roll guitars.

Hotel Colfax, (titled in lieu of an artist home where Stacy previously resided in Uptown, Mpls) continues to represent Stacy K’s unique writing style, eloquent and raw approach, and reveals in a snap-shot the transitions life can bring.
